IntroductionMissing the adult teeth, or complete edentulism, is a condition that is not uncommon. Unfortunately, for many different factors, this condition has not been eradicated. Poor oral hygiene, combined with systemic conditions affecting the inflammatory system, play a critical factor in tooth loss. One out of every four individuals aged 65 or more is edentulous.
